The first arrangements on this matter were made as early as August, during the visit of Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney to Warsaw, when the details of future cooperation and Canada’s participation in the Kielce Exhibition were discussed. This choice confirms the deepening of strategic relations between Poland and Canada, especially in the areas of security, defense technologies, and industrial innovation.
“Canada is one of NATO’s key allies, and its presence as the Lead Nation will highlight the global dimension of our event. MSPO is a place where industry meets defence policy, and the result is concrete decisions and contracts,” emphasizes Dr. Andrzej Mochoń, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce.
MSPO – a European leader with tradition
The International Defence Industry Exhibition is one of the three largest defense industry events in Europe. The most recent edition hosted more than 800 exhibitors from 35 countries, and the number of visitors reached nearly 40,000 – including representatives of armed forces, government administration, and the defense industry from around the world.
In 2026, MSPO will occupy all exhibition halls at Targi Kielce, including a brand-new hall with a floor area of 15,500 m² and a height of 15 meters, scheduled for completion in the summer of next year. The formal opening of the facility is planned to take place during MSPO 2026. It is the largest facility of its kind currently under construction in the trade-fair sector in Poland, which will significantly expand the exhibition space and allow for the presentation of even more advanced technologies—from cybersecurity to unmanned systems.
Canada – a partner of global importance
As the Lead Nation, Canada will showcase the achievements of its defense and security industry, including solutions in satellite technologies, soldier equipment, simulation, training, and critical infrastructure protection. Detailed arrangements are now beginning. The joint presence of Poland and Canada at MSPO 2026 is intended to strengthen industrial and scientific cooperation and promote innovation in the spirit of transatlantic partnership.
National Exhibitions – an MSPO tradition
The tradition of National Exhibitions in Kielce dates back to 2004. Over the years, countries such as Germany, Israel, Sweden, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, the Visegrad Group (V4), and the European Defence Agency (EDA) have showcased their capabilities and defense technologies. France, the United States, Türkiye, and South Korea have each served as the Lead Nation twice, while Poland has taken on this role three times. Ukraine was the special guest during MSPO 2024.
The 34th edition of MSPO is scheduled for September 8–11, 2026.
