SatRevolution, a forerunner of the space industry in Poland, partners with Momentus for orbital deployment in December. SatRevolution designs and supplies cubesat platforms and services, and is currently working on the first phase of its Earth-observation constellation in 2023. LabSat, which will be transported by Vigoride, a special transport spacefraft, is the result of a project focusing on miniaturized laboratory tools and technologies for testing in microgravity conditions.

The satellite consists of a cubesat bus, created by SatRevolution, and scientific payloads developed by four Wrocław based universities, spearheaded by Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.

Momentus applauds SatRevolution’s work with scientific institutions, such as Grenoble University Space Centre, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and AGH University in Krakow and are looking forward to working with them on both scientific and commercial projects in the future.

Vigoride can transport satellites with masses up to 250 kg from ISS orbit all the way up to 2,000 km. The vehicle can be launched from an ESPA or ESPA Grande ring, from ISS airlocks, or from almost any small dedicated launcher or larger rideshare vehicle.
