We are in Busko-Zdrój at the 21st Military Spa And Rehabilitation Hospital. We are here on a special day, where we celebrate the day of military healthcare service, we celebrate the day of military healthcare workers. This is the day of military healthcare workers. Thank you to all who contribute to the community of military healthcare service. To all doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics, administrative staff, medical and non-medical personnel, said Deputy Prime Minister W. Kosiniak-Kamysz in Busko-Zdrój.

The visit to Busko-Zdrój was also an opportunity for the Deputy Prime Minister to meet with soldiers – veterans and their families who are staying at the hospital for rehabilitation.

I talked to the patients. They all unanimously say that this is the best spa-rehabilitation hospital. I thank the staff and employees for taking care of our patients’ health. I also talked to our veterans who are staying here in the hospital for rehabilitation. We are preparing several areas of action. For example, preventive programs for soldiers. This is aimed at preventing the development of certain diseases. All of this is very necessary. Another area is the creation of a rapid response military medical component and education for our medics. We will invest in military healthcare. Not only in infrastructure but also in human capital. This is one of our priorities that we are working on together with Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk, he added.

The resources of the military healthcare service, which celebrates its holiday on April 4th, are divided into 8 Medical Support Regions, covering 22 hospitals: 4 clinical hospitals, 11 military hospitals, 3 medical institutes, and 4 military spa-rehabilitation hospitals, as well as 29 military specialist clinics, 5 military preventive medicine centers, 8 blood donation and transfusion stations, and 15 military medical boards.

We are preparing several solutions for the development of the military healthcare service at the Ministry of National Defense, together with Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk. Firstly, preventive programs for the soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces in three areas: metabolic diseases, skin diseases, and Lyme disease. In these three areas, we want to develop preventive programs in accordance with the law. The aim is to halt the development of these diseases in specific disease units. Another solution is the creation of a military medical component. We are preparing for this. This is one of our flagship projects. The rapid response military medical component, full readiness of field hospitals, and coordination between all units of the military healthcare service. The third issue is the education of doctors. We will invest not only in medical infrastructure but also in human capital. The military medical component should be our flagship component, emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister during the meeting.
