On Tuesday, April 2nd, Military Communication Works No. 1 (WZŁ-1), a part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), announced that on March 27th, a meeting was held at the company’s headquarters with representatives of the American corporation Northrop Grumman. The purpose of the meeting was to summarize the status of the implementation of offset obligations in Phase I of the Wisła program.
Commitment No. B20b, the first commitment undertaken by WZŁ-1 together with PGZ, Military Electronic Works (WZE), and Military Armament Works (WZU), concerns the training of technicians in the repair of S-280 server rooms and communication nodes (radio relay) as part of the Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN) (Wisła: Offset Negotiations With Raytheon And Northrop Grumman Finished).
Secondly, commitment No. C1b enabled the company to acquire specialized machinery that will be used in the implementation of projects within the Wisła program. The meeting was also an opportunity for discussions related to the conclusion of an executive contract for offset commitment N7, as part of Phase II of the Wisła program. Thanks to the offset, Military Communication Works No. 1 will acquire capabilities for testing antennas and communication system masts.
On August 12, 2021, the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) announced that it had concluded negotiations and signed, among other agreements, licensing contracts with Northrop Grumman as part of the offset program related to the purchase of Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) systems and Medium Range Missile Defense (MRMD) systems MIM-104F Patriot PAC-3+ (Post-Deployment Build 8) as part of Phase I of the Wisła program.
