“This award belongs to the entire Polish Armaments Group, all our companies and plants, and above all to more than 20,000 employees: engineers, designers, technologists and specialists who produce our security every day in Polish facilities. We are developing PGZ and building pride in a Group that is to be a leader, integrator and promoter of the Polish defense industry. We regard the Company of the Year title as an expression of support for the path we have chosen, but also as an obligation to act even more actively and consistently” – this is how Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ, commented on the award.
The Polish Armaments Group is undergoing a profound transformation aimed at creating an efficient and integrated corporate group capable of implementing the largest defense programs and competing effectively on international markets. The Group’s new operating model is based on seven product domains corresponding to key areas of security and the needs of the modern battlefield.
PGZ is developing capabilities in armored vehicles and artillery, wheeled platforms and vehicles, ammunition and missile technology, aviation technologies, soldier equipment, naval systems, as well as electronics and air defense systems. At the same time, the Group is investing in future technologies, including unmanned and counter-UAS systems, autonomous solutions, optoelectronics, satellite technologies, cybersecurity, and new generations of weapons and ammunition.
The Group’s development is part of a broader ambition to strengthen the entire Polish defense industry. PGZ aims to act as an integrator of its potential and to expand cooperation with Polish private companies, schools, universities, research institutes and foreign partners.
“We have three strategic objectives: the development of the Polish Armaments Group, the development of the defense industry in Poland, and strengthening the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces. We want to build a modern organization that combines the potential of domestic plants and the expertise of thousands of specialists with the ambition to develop future technologies. We have been named Company of the Year, but we are looking further ahead. Our goal is to rank among the ten largest defense companies in Europe. We want to achieve this position by developing our own capabilities, increasing production capacity, and permanently anchoring knowledge, intellectual property, production and supply chains in Poland” – added Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ.
The Company of the Year title comes at a time when the Group is implementing strategic modernization programs, increasing production capacity and expanding its facilities. PGZ supplies the Polish Armed Forces with weapons and equipment, develops new industrial capabilities, and creates the conditions for the maintenance, servicing and further modernization of key systems in Poland.
The Group is also consistently strengthening its position on international markets. Export growth, participation in European industrial programs and the development of technological partnerships are intended both to increase the competitiveness of the Polish defense industry and to strengthen the security of Poland and its allies.
The Company of the Year title is one of the most important awards presented during the Economic Forum. The 35th edition of the event is being held in Karpacz on September 8–10, 2026, under the theme Architecture of a New Order – Stability in Times of Change.
