Expanding cooperation with secondary schools was one of the main topics discussed during a September 1, 2026 meeting between the PGZ Management Board and the presidents of key PGZ Group companies.

Currently, 24 PGZ Group companies cooperate with 81 educational institutions, covering approximately 1,200 students. Cooperation most often includes organizing internships for selected students, conducting classes at company facilities and in schools, student visits to company sites, equipping schools with teaching aids and providing awards for the best students at the end of the school year. To expand the scale of cooperation, the PGZ Management Board has recommended that its companies establish formal cooperation with additional technical schools located near PGZ Group plants.
“Cooperation between Polish Armaments Group companies and educational institutions makes it possible to better align the educational profiles of individual schools with the actual needs of a given plant. For students, this means an opportunity to learn about the real expectations of the labor market and gain access to advanced machinery and modern technologies” – said Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ. “As a Group, however, we plan to go further. We intend to expand the existing cooperation and increase the number of partner schools so that it ultimately covers around 100 institutions. We are investing in future human capital” – Adam Leszkiewicz emphasized.
Polish Armaments Group is particularly interested in expanding cooperation and creating new fields of study at the secondary-school level to train, among others, future mechatronics technicians, welders, electricians, automation technicians, electromechanics, shipbuilding technicians and ship fitters, foundry machinery and equipment operators, machine-tool operators and other specialists.
Plans call for strengthening or establishing cooperation with educational institutions in, among other locations, Bydgoszcz, Częstochowa, Dęblin, Gliwice, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Grudziądz, Jasło, Jelcz-Laskowice, Kalisz, Katowice, Kraśnik, Legionowo, Leżajsk, Łódź, Mińsk Mazowiecki, Nowa Dęba, Opole, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Poznań, Racibórz, Radom, Rumia, Skarżysko-Kamienna, Stalowa Wola, Sanok, Serock, Siemianowice Śląskie, Tarnów, Warsaw, Włocławek, Wrocław and Zielonka.
The entire PGZ project aimed at developing technical education to provide personnel for defense-industry companies is planned as a multi-year adjustment process. It is to begin with sponsorship of classes in technical and vocational secondary schools from the next school year, followed by recruitment and the creation of industry-oriented classes based on detailed curricula, and eventually the establishment of industrial schools closely linked with individual plants and local labor markets.
For its part, Polish Armaments Group intends to introduce a range of specific incentives designed to make the concept of “industrial classes” more attractive and encourage young people to consider them as a priority when choosing the next stage of their education. These proposals include material prizes for the most interesting final projects by graduating students, priority in employment for graduates of such classes, financial bonuses when starting work, as well as participation in domestic and international defense exhibitions at PGZ’s expense.
It should also be emphasized that Polish Armaments Group already operates the Talents for PGZ program, aimed at recruiting outstanding university graduates to work within the Group. The program includes student and graduate internships, traineeships and scholarship programs. These activities are comprehensive and long-term in nature. While supplying the military with state-of-the-art equipment, PGZ is also working to ensure a steady flow of personnel capable of servicing and modernizing that equipment throughout its service life, which may span several decades. In a few years, today’s students in industrial classes and beneficiaries of the Talents program will be producing Poland’s security in Polish factories.
