The AŁC-T digital communications shelters and MCC mobile communications nodes are equipped with a telescopic lattice mast reaching a height of 34 m. Transbit’s proposal involves creating an additional virtual mast using a multirotor unmanned aerial vehicle carrying radio equipment above terrain obstacles. It can be used to rapidly establish communications before the main mast is deployed, to operate in locations where the height of a conventional mast is insufficient, to temporarily deploy communications nodes, or to improve radio operating conditions when establishing MESH/MANET networks.

The demonstrator presented at the exhibition uses a six-rotor UAV with a payload capacity of up to 5 kg, enabling operation at an altitude of 50 m while carrying a small radio, for example one based on the R-450C-01 model. The UAV is connected by cable to a ground power station, allowing it to remain airborne for extended periods.
The target version will be approximately twice as large, with a payload capacity of around 15 kg and an operating altitude of 100 m. It will be able to carry a radio relay with directional antennas and remain airborne for several days to as long as a week.

An additional application of the UAV could be the deployment of fiber-optic cable between individual sites. If, for example, fiber-optic communications are preferred over radio links within a Wisła air defense system deployment, such a drone could help rapidly connect the individual elements of the formation into a single network.
