On September 8 and 10, 2026, as part of the 34th International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, PHU Lechmar will organize a two-day expert conference titled “Hydrogen Battlefield Revolution 2035 – Powering the Future of Military Platforms” (“Wodorowa rewolucja na polu walki 2035 – siła napędowa przyszłych platform wojskowych”). Both parts of the event will be held in the KAPPA conference room and will bring together experts, representatives of the armed forces, the diplomatic corps and the defense industry to discuss issues related to energy systems for the modern battlefield.

This is another step in Lechmar’s consistent effort to build its position as a company that does not wait for trends to emerge, but seeks to anticipate them by identifying technologies and solutions that could determine allied operational advantage in the coming years.
Energy as an operational capability
September 8, 2026, 11:00 a.m., KAPPA conference room
The first part of the conference will serve as an introduction to the subject. Żaneta Kłosowska and Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Grzegorz Grodzki will introduce participants to hydrogen and synthetic fuels, presenting their potential as energy sources and propulsion solutions for future military platforms. The experts will point out that the modern battlefield is generating unprecedented demand for energy. Weapon systems, sensors, unmanned platforms and digital communications all require uninterrupted power, while centralized supply chains dependent on fuel convoys remain one of the weakest points of military logistics. The proposed response is to develop distributed and resilient systems that reduce dependence on individual, easily targeted sources.
“Hydrogen is not an end in itself. In the military, what matters is whether a technology provides longer mission endurance, lower detectability and reduced dependence on fuel logistics. Wherever it offers such an advantage, it will be adopted faster than in mass-market applications,” said Żaneta Kłosowska, hydrogen technology and energy transition expert at the ENIM Institute.
Similar conclusions can be drawn from experience gained during the war in Ukraine. As Brig. Gen. Grzegorz Grodzki noted:
“From a commander’s perspective, the most important issue is not the name of the technology, but the resilience of the logistics system. If energy can be generated closer to the area of operations, we reduce the number of transport missions, shorten the time needed to restore readiness and limit soldiers’ exposure to threats,” said Brig. Technologies and fuels of the future. From technology to military capability
September 10, 2026, 2:00 p.m., KAPPA conference room
The second part of the conference will take the form of an in-depth discussion. Experts will present conclusions based on PHU Lechmar’s knowledge and experience in analyzing the directions in which hydrogen is being used by the European Union, NATO and Ukraine. Hydrogen will be presented as one element of a broader multi-fuel defense energy ecosystem that also includes ammonia, e-methanol and synthetic fuels, including SAF. The discussion will focus on the Multi-Fuel Defence Energy Hub concept, integrating the production, storage and distribution of energy and fuels for military bases, ports, airfields and logistics facilities.
The discussion will move from technology demonstrators to actual operational capabilities. Experts will assess the readiness of individual technologies, propose pilot projects and outline a roadmap for implementing a multi-fuel energy system by 2035, taking into account reliability, safety, NATO interoperability and the ability to maintain equipment under field conditions. The second part of the conference will conclude with the presentation of proposals for specific demonstrators and pilot projects.
A company ahead of the trends
Organizing the conference during MSPO is part of PHU Lechmar’s strategy to build its position not by adapting to changes taking place in the defense sector, but by anticipating and helping shape them.
“For part of the market, hydrogen, synthetic fuels and the Multi-Fuel Defence Energy Hub concept may still seem like a distant future. For us, they are a natural continuation of discussions we have been conducting for years with partners from Ukraine and NATO countries. Our experience, both from cooperation with Ukrainian institutions and from implementing projects in accordance with NATO standards, shows that battlefield advantage is built today through decisions taken in advance, not by reacting to needs that have already emerged. That is why we are inviting participants to Kielce not to talk about tomorrow’s technologies, but to discuss today how they can be implemented,” said Karolina Siudyła, spokesperson for PHU Lechmar.

This allows us not only to follow the development of weapons and energy systems, but to actively help shape those developments together with experts, the military and industry.”
