On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the organizers of the first edition of DSEI Germany, scheduled for March 9-12, 2027, at Hannover Messe ‒ the largest exhibition complex in Europe ‒ announced that a fourth exhibition hall would be opened due to strong interest from exhibitors.

The new hall will open in March next year, shortly before the start of DSEI Germany 2027, which will be Germany’s leading defense and security exhibition, bringing together military equipment manufacturers, industrial suppliers, and emerging players from every level of the supply chain.
The opening of an additional hall will increase the DSEI Germany exhibition space to 100,000 square meters, along with 25,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition space, together equivalent to the area of 18 football pitches.
DSEI Germany will take place at a pivotal moment for European defense, security, and strategic autonomy. With Germany’s annual defense budget expected to rise to 180 EUR billion by 2030, the exhibition will support the strategic priorities of Germany, Europe, and NATO, while creating opportunities for dialogue between military and political leaders and industry.
Nine months before the inaugural edition of DSEI Germany, exhibition space in the three original halls is already fully booked. The expansion into a fourth hall will allow for greater representation of the aerospace, land, naval, and cyber and information sectors.
The expansion of the exhibition space was also announced alongside confirmation that the Federal Association of the German Security and Defence Industry, BDSV, will serve as an industry partner. BDSV represents the shared interests of Germany’s security and defense industry. The trade association supports more than 400 companies and acts as a bridge between industry, the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Bundeswehr, decision-makers, institutions, and the media.

He also added: “DSEI Germany aims to support NATO’s European members achieve greater independence in their ability to deter and if necessary, defeat, an adversary. Recently, on May 27, an advisory board for DSEI Germany was established, consisting of three former Bundeswehr officers: Gen. Chris Badia (ret.), Lt. Gen. Frank Leidenberger (ret.), and Vice Adm. Frank Lenski (ret.).
